Location: Zoom
Did you know that as an artist you may have rights in your work that continue even after the work is sold? With a review of the legislation and an examination of key case studies, this class will provide an overview of what rights are granted to artists under the Visual Artists Rights Act (VARA). Join us on April 12 as we discuss what kinds of works are protected by VARA, which personal rights artists have in their work in the United States, when you might be in danger of giving up your rights, and how an artist acquires protection under VARA by taking a closer look at the meaning of “recognized stature.”
