Legal Issues in Social Media

What happens to your creative work when you post it on social media? This workshop will give an overview of relevant law for social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter, so that you can understand your rights when you post online, or when you use material uploaded by someone else. In particular, we will review the applicable copyright law, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, the terms and conditions applicable to social media platforms, and relevant court decisions.
