Legal Issues in Comedy

A priest, a rabbi, and a comedian walk into a lawyer’s office. The comedian’s jokes got stolen so the priest and rabbi are providing moral support. The lawyer asks, “Whose line was it, anyway?”

This class will provide an overview of common legal topics in comedy, like copyright, defamation, and the right of publicity. Join us on July 25 if you’ve ever wondered whether a joke or a tweet is protectable, how comedians get paid, or if any topic is truly “off-limits” in the world of comedy!
