From the Charleston to the Carlton: Copyright Issues in Dance

Have you ever wondered whether you can pirouette your way into copyright protection? Are you hoping to copyright your salsa-inspired fitness routine? Did your new dance move just go viral on TikTok? Is performing the Carlton copyright infringement?

This class — designed for choreographers, performers, Fortnite enthusiasts, and aspiring TikTok influencers — will answer your dance-related copyright questions. The course will cover the scope of copyright protection for dance, the ways to protect your dance creations, the impact of social media on copyright protection in dance, and the methods for avoiding infringement lawsuits.
