Modern artificial intelligence, or AI, has the ability to generate incredibly creative work with minimal human input. As technology pushes the boundaries of artistic creation, can the law keep up? In this class, we will discuss how U.S. law has responded to developments in AI-generated work, including how (or whether) these works receive copyright protection under the law.
