Tatsuya Adachi is an Associate at Leichtman Law PLLC, a law firm founded in April 2017 comprising trial lawyers focused on their clients’ business solutions. Tatsuya’s practice focuses primarily on entertainment and media, intellectual property, and business litigation. He performs trial work in cases involving copyright, trademark, unfair competition, patent, trade secret, breach of contract, and business torts, and also handles IP licensing matters.
As a former professional singer, Tatsuya has a unique understanding of the motivations and creative and business goals of artists and creators of all disciplines. His goal is to help these individuals execute their dream projects and protect their intellectual property rights.
Tatsuya earned his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal, and was selected by the faculty as a recipient of the Jacob Burns Medal.
In addition to his work with VLA, Tatsuya currently serves on the Entertainment Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
