As Director of Operations, Sasha manages finances and operations for the organization. Prior to joining VLA, she served as a program manager at the Texas Medical Association, where she oversaw a number of community health initiatives; and at Literacy Texas, where she ran the Volunteer Training Initiative, a program providing free training for adult education volunteers throughout Texas.
Sasha holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Bowling Green State University, where she taught courses in composition and fiction and served as Managing Editor of the Mid-American Review. She received her BA in English from the University of Houston, where she spent three years on the staff of Gulf Coast: A Journal of Literature and Fine Arts. She is a passionate supporter of education and the arts.
