Mahaylia Latoya Hines

Mahaylia Latoya Hines is an associate at Oppenheim + Zebrak, LLP, where she focuses her practice on copyright, intellectual property, and litigation matters. Prior to joining O+Z, Mahaylia was a litigation associate at Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP, handling complex disputes, including data breaches and other commercial matters.

A dedicated advocate for the arts, Mahaylia serves on the Associate Board of the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA). Her commitment to the creative sector began during her time at Howard University School of Law, where she served as a student attorney in the Intellectual Property Patent Clinic, assisting inventors from underrepresented backgrounds. Mahaylia earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Howard University School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Florida International University. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and is admitted to practice in New York.
