Madhavi (Maddy) Batliboi heads up the global music legal team at Meta. In this capacity, she and her team structure music deals for all Meta products and services worldwide and provide advice on music-related issues across the company. Maddy has a JD from Columbia Law School and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Brandeis University. Prior to Meta, Maddy was a commercial counsel on the music legal team at Google. Maddy started her career as an associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP, specializing in technology and content deals. In addition to her interest in working with VLA, she also co-chairs the board of Womankind, a nonprofit that serves survivors of gender-based violence, including domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual violence, particularly in the Asian community in New York.
