Ava McAlpin

Ava McAlpin is Senior Counsel at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Prior to this, she was an Associate in the Content, Media & Entertainment practice group of Jenner & Block LLP.  Her practice focused on contractual disputes, content protection, copyright infringement, the Digital Millennium Copyright ACT (DMCA), trademark clearance and enforcement, trade secrets, unfair competition, and other business torts.

Ms. McAlpin maintains an active pro bono practice, which also includes counseling creators of content:  she has represented a low-income artist in a contract dispute, assisted the estate of a graffiti artist register copyrights, and drafted production services agreements for a nonprofit cultural organization.

Ms. McAlpin graduated cum laude from Princeton University in 2009 with an A.B. in philosophy.  She received her J.D. magna cum laude (Order of the Coif) from New York University School of Law in 2013. She served as a law clerk for the Honorable Sidney H. Stein of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
