Essential Contracts in Film & Television Production

Filmmakers are particularly vulnerable to legal pitfalls during the creative process that can stop their work from being shared, but there are a few easy steps (and easy contracts) that all filmmakers can and should take to protect themselves and their work. In this class, you’ll get a brief overview of the different agreements common in the filmmaking process—from pre-production agreements between co-creators, to talent and materials releases needed during production, to the legal implications of common distribution channels.
