Learn about employment law and the most recent updates to the Freelance Isn’t Free Act!

This class will cover the New York City Freelance Isn’t Free Act and the New York State Freelance Isn’t Free Act, which both protect independent contractors when individuals and companies that hired them fail to pay for the work performed. We will discuss what rights independent contractors are afforded under these laws, how courts have interpreted these laws since their implementation, and different ways workers can use these laws to protect themselves.
