This course is for artists interested in learning about how to work with a gallery to sell their work. What is a consignment agreement and what legal rights do artists have surrounding this type of agreement? What factors do galleries consider when deciding to consign with an artist? When and how should artists negotiate a consignment agreement to better serve their interests? Presenters will address all of these questions in an effort to help artists understand consignment agreements and artists’ rights under New York law.
