Work for Hire Issues in the Entertainment Industry

April 20 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

VLA is proud to present its popular series of free classes targeted to artists, students and practicing attorneys. The classes will be taught by current law school students.

Have you ever wondered whether you own the work you create for an employer? In this class, we will explore the intellectual property ownership issues that arise when employees and independent contractors create content. Join us on April 20, where we will explain what it means to create a “work made for hire,” discussing practical considerations for both employees and employers.

This program will be held as a free online webinar. Please make sure to register ahead of time in order to access the course.

  • Please use the form below to send us feedback or to request financial aid to offset the cost of event registrations.
