Personal websites, social media and digital marketplaces are key avenues for creators to market, distribute and sell their work. This course will provide creators with an overview of important legal considerations for managing their online sales and businesses. Topics include website terms of service, privacy policies, online marketplace terms, intellectual property considerations, and social media use.

Priscilla represents clients in a wide array of industries, including technology services, public utility, automobile, consumer goods, airline, hospitality, banking, private equity, and fashion. In addition to her technology practice, Priscilla has significant experience representing U.S. and international clients in a broad range of general corporate and strategic matters. Priscilla received her J.D. from Cornell Law School, where she was Associate Editor of the Legal Information Institute. She received her B.A., cum laude, from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, where she was a James Dickson Carr Scholar.
Juliana Moraes Liu, Associate @ Covington & Burling LLP
Juliana Moraes Liu is an associate in the Technology and IP Transactions Practice Group at Covington & Burling LLP. Her practice focuses on complex commercial transactions that leverage technology solutions to enable clients to innovate and become industry leaders. Juliana routinely advises clients on projects centered around emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, metaverse environments and NFTs. She has significant experience with IT outsourcing, cloud network, software implementation, and terms of use agreements. As part of her practice, Juliana regularly supports clients on transactions centered around data and content rights, including licensing and distribution agreements. She also advises on the intellectual property aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. Juliana works with clients in a range of industries, including television, music, sports, travel and technology services. Juliana received her J.D. from Yale Law School and her undergraduate degree from Columbia University.
