This class will provide a general overview of the legal issues surrounding tattoo art, specifically as it relates to copyright and artists’ moral rights. Participants will learn about whether tattoos meet the subject matter requirements for copyright/VARA protection eligibility, potential issues regarding the work-for-hire doctrine and copyright authorship, and unique factors that may influence the determination of remedies.
