This workshop provides valuable information about starting an arts-related for-profit business, and will focus on New York LLCs. We will discuss the legal characteristics of different types of business entities, and the basic steps to forming an LLC in New York, including choosing a corporate name, filing the Articles of Organization, the publication requirement, and suggestions for drafting an operating agreement. The class will also address employment issues for new business owners.
