VLA is proud to present its popular series of free classes targeted to artists, students and practicing attorneys. The classes will be taught by current law school students.
This class will provide an overview of the right of publicity in the state of New York. This information will be useful to artists who are looking to use the life story, image, name or likeness of another individual in their work as well as artists who would like to protect the commercial value of their name, image or likeness. The class will cover how right of publicity law in New York impacts a wide variety of fields, including, visual arts, film and media, publishing, the performing arts, and more. Artists of all disciplines encouraged to attend!
