Alternative Fundraising: The Legal Implications of Online Crowdfunding

VLA is proud to present its popular series of free classes targeted to artists, students and practicing attorneys. The classes will be taught by current law school students.

In recent years crowdfunding has become a popular alternative financing method for established and up-and-coming artists alike. This seminar hopes to help artists navigate the legal implications of this new financing trend. The class will discuss what crowdfunding is, the various ways to crowd fund, the advantages and disadvantages, and the legal regulations and implications.
